March Volunteer Highlights 9th Annual ForKids Children's
ForKids welcomed over 450 guests to the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel on Friday March 12th for the ForKids 9th Annual Children’s Art Auction. The event raised a record $229,000 to fund much-needed services for children and families experiencing homelessness in Hampton Roads. The theme for the art auction and casino night “The Stakes Have Never Been Higher” was chosen due to the unprecedented number of families seeking services in 2010 and ForKids’ rapid expansion regionally to meet those needs. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers who helped make this event such a great success! Volunteer Groups: Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Norfolk Academy, Mid-Atlantic District Veterinary Command, Seven Wiseman Masonic Lodge, Beta Alpha Psi Chapter at Old Dominion University and the Human Services Association at Old Dominion University. |
