Golds Gym/ForKids 5K Run
Saturday, June 20th, fifty-six volunteers assisted in making our annual Gold’s Gym/ForKids 5K Run/Walk a great success! Volunteers assisted in timing the race, directing racers along the course, hospitality, parking, registration, and much more. Volunteer groups included the Norfolk Boys & Girls Club, US Navy-Transportation Division, ODU Cheerleaders, and Deloitte, LLP. Thank you volunteers for making this event such a great success!

Suffolk House Volunteer Needs
The Children’s Services Team is looking for volunteers who would like to help create summer projects for kids at Suffolk House shelter. Do you like to do arts and crafts? How about designing a fun project? Would you like to go on a nature walk to explore bugs and plants, read a book, watch a g-rated movie, or play board games?
Summer enrichment projects and Recreation nights routinely occur on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and often throughout the day. Contact Larissa Sutherland at 757-934-1353 x 113 or lsutherland@homesforkids.org to schedule a day to spend time with the children.
