ForKids provides a hand up. ...Not a handout.
Through an award-winning network of shelters, housing, counseling, education and other comprehensive programs, we help our client families make the very challenging transition from homelessness to home.
We start by giving them a safe place to live and over the ensuing weeks and months, help them work through the often-complex and difficult circumstances that brought them here in the first place.
They earn their room, board, supplies and other daily necessities by performing household chores and office tasks.
And with a steady stream of help and hope, they develop the true keys to a stable, successful home life: family responsibility and self-sufficiency.
